With a reputation for a kickass coffee and even better service at our OG Van in Berridale, we aim to bring the same energy to Rhythm Cooma and are on the hunt for some Hospo Extrodanares to help build our dream team for the 2024 ski season.

FOH wizard and vibe specialist

As the FOH wizard and vibe Specialist at Meet you Halfway, you are the face of the business. It’s your main focus to set the vibe and ensure an exceptional customer experience, that has our guests wowed by our friendliness, competence, and desire to go above and beyond.

This role is also responsible for the everyday running and operations of the van. This includes serving customers, following sequence of service, suggestive selling, preparing food, menu items, and smoothies as well as cleaning, bulk food prep, and supporting the barista when necessary.

Barista

We pride ourselves on serving quality coffee - a first sip that has our customers involuntary grunting it’s that good.

As a barista, you prepare a wide range of coffee, drinks, and teas with expertise and precision and ensure each cup of coffee meets our high standards for quality, taste and latte art expectations. The barista is also required to step into other roles such as customer service, food prep and cleaning to ensure streamlined operation.

If you love working in a fast-paced environment, putting smiles on people's dials, and whipping up an exceptional brew, this job is for you!

Assistant Manager

The Halfway team is a well-oiled machine that has heaps of fun, works hard, and has each other's back! We’re on the hunt for an assistant manager to help keep our machine greased and our team happy!

The successful candidate will be cool, calm, and collected, have excellent communication and people skills, and plenty of hospo and barista experience to be able to step in and help whenever needed.  

The role involves inventory control, overseeing operations, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly while maintaining our quality standards and reputation for tip-top service.

The successful candidate will be a weapon at multi-tasking, great at delegating, and leads by example.

• Outstanding communication skills with a vibrant, naturally friendly, and approachable demeanor
• A talent for turning transactions into connections
• Knowledge of menu items and a flair for suggestive selling
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment (bonus if you’re particularly nifty with a knife and great with flavors)
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and strict following of procedures and protocol
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team culture
