Demo Try Before You Buy Skis & Snowboards
Buying a new snowboard or pair of skis is a big purchase. No matter how much research you do, sometimes the only way to know is to hit the white fluffy stuff and get a feel for them. But can you do that without buying the new board or skis outright? With us you can!
We want our customers to love their new ride, so we offer a try before you buy option. Every year, we put some of the newest, most exciting skis and snowboards into our demo rental fleet. These are available to hire, and the cost of your hire will be deducted from your purchase if you choose to go ahead with it. This gives you the chance to try before you buy, and make sure that you’re new pair of ski/ snowboard is the right one.
How does this work?
This can be booked online or come on into the store (open 24hrs during winter). If there’s a specific ski you’d like to try, it’s best to call us ahead of time to make sure it’s in stock for you. If you’d like some advice, our team can suggest some skis for you too!
Pick them up- Swing past Cooma on your way up the mountain and collect your demo skis or snowboard. Our workshop will fit your boots so you don’t need to worry about that either.
- Now the fun starts. Get a feel for the skis/ snowboard and test out if they’re right for you.Â
- A. Love them? Great! Come in and buy your new pair. We’ll refund the first two days of your rental towards the cost of your purchase
- B. Not for you? No panic. You’ll just pay the rental fees for your booking. If you’d like to try another pair/ board, that’s also an option
*Please note that you’ll need to make a booking for the full period that you’d like the demo skis/ snowboard for. Most customers book their rental for the full period of the trip then buy/ collect their new pair on the way home, however only the first two days are deductible against your purchase.
Will you fit my boots to my demo rental skis/ board?
Yes, absolutely! Our workshop will even mount the bindings on your new skis/ snowboard after you’ve purchased them too. With all skis and snowboards purchased at Rhythm Snowsports, we offer free waxes for life so anytime you’re heading up the mountain, pop in! We’re open 24 hours a day in Winter but it is best to book as we do get very busy.
Can you set aside skis/ a snowboard for me while I try the demo version?
Yes, but we do require payment in full for this. If you choose not to go ahead, we’ll then refund the purchase. Unfortunately, we don’t accept deposits/part payments.
What if you don’t have the ski/snowboard I want in stock?
We are sometimes able to do special orders for purchases. If there’s a specific ski/ snowboard that you’d like, contact one of the team who will be able to find the best solution for you. Where possible, we’ll try to help you out!
If we don’t have the ski you want to demo on rental, we’ll offer the next nearest alternative to try.
Can I find a list of the skis/ snowboards available for demo?
The best thing to do would be to call the store for this information. As we roll skis into and out of our demo range, they change on an almost weekly basis, so it’s best to find out directly.
