The Katadyn Hiker Pro Replacement Cartridge is specifically designed for the Katadyn Hiker Pro Water Filter. The glassfiber microfilter in this cartridge filters out giardia and most bacteria in the water. This replacement cartridge filters approximately 200 gallons of water, depending on water quality. The Microfiltration method in the Hiker Pro Filter is called AntiClog technology with 129 square inches of pleated 0.3 micron glassfiber media. The activated carbon core in the Katadyn Hiker Pro Replacement Filter reduces unpleasant tastes and odor from water as well. In less than a minute, or 48 strokes, this cartridge can handle up to 1 quart of water, depending on the quality of the water.
