But don’t just take it from us here is what the Simple Livers thought of the jacket: “This jacket is awesome! From first looks it has a sweet visual design, keeping it simple with two mellow colours, but throwing a little bit of sass in there with the top pocket displaying some quirky graphics, which also line the entire inside of the jacket. Massive thumbs up to Dakine for the simple yet eloquent visual aspects of this jacket. Getting technical, we found this jacket to perform very well! It has 40G insulation consistent throughout the whole jacket, arms, body and hood, which will work wonders in keeping you warm and snug on those cold days! It has a 10K/10K waterproofing which is fairly standard over snow jackets and will do a mighty fine job of keeping you dry, yet not letting you over heat as it is fairly breathable. Some other cool features are its high chin guard, which will allow you to bury your face in high wind/snow situations and protect yourself. It’s a fairly tall jacket so it will sit around your bum nicely providing a little more protection from the snow getting inside your jacket if you take a tumble! So overall from our experience with Dakine’s Rampart 65 jacket, it is a killer design with good features, not too expensive and will look after you while you shred the slopes. – Simple Livers”
